Многие иностранные сайты прочили второму rFactor-y появление на свет ещё в 2010 году. Однако этого, как все мы знаем, не случилось. И даже в первой половине 2011 года ожидаемый миллионами симрейсеров автосимулятор так и не вышел. Более того, мы до сих пор даже не знаем точной даты релиза rFactor 2. О чём это говорит? Во-первых, о том, что разработчики не хотят пускать в продажу сырой продукт. И это даёт повод для надежд, что мы не увидем такого количества багов, как в первой версии F1 2010 от Codemasters. Во-вторых, это значит, что такая компания, как ISI, всё же не имеет большого бюджета и такого количества сотрудников, как мировые гиганты игровой индустрии, что, непременно, скажется на качестве игры, чего бы по этому поводу не говорили. В-третьих, такая затяжка релиза и даже объявления какой-либо точной информации о дате выхода игры говорит о том, что разработчики не надеются сорвать большой куш с продаж rFactor 2, они не играют на публику (по крайней мере сильно), они нацелены на определённую, небольшую категорию игроков, которые и безо всякой рекламы пойдут в магазин и отдадут свои деньги за их продукт. Следовательно, игра не должна получится "попсовой". В-четвёртых, достаточно длительная разработка автосима неизбежно приведёт к тому, что на момент релиза в технологическом плане игра будет отнюдь не на передовой. И это печально, хотя вполне предсказуемо.

На данный момент на официальном сайте rfactor-a насчёт даты релиза можно найти только невзрачное пояснение в скобках: "TBA 2011", что означает "to be announced 2011" - игра будет анонсирована в 2011 году. Заметьте, лишь анонсирована, не факт, что выпущена в продажу. Хотя, я думаю, что перенос релиза на 2012 год окончательно подорвёт и без того небольшую категорию потенциальных покупателей данного автосимулятора, чего не могут не понимать и разработчики игры. Следовательно, всё же ждём, надеемся и верим в год текущий...

User Interface

Added key binding for hide cursor. This is useful when running the in-game overlays and doing a broadcast to a capture card that insists on showing your cursor otherwise.
All replay controls can now be custom assigned in the controller tab. By default, all replay controls are mapped to the same defaults unless re-assigned.
Added a first-time startup wizard. For now, only has name and nickname fields. This will be extended.
Added player area in the main UI. For now, only has name and nickname fields.
In the showroom, we now check for upgrades on page load and do not show info if there aren’t any.
Disabled select button in the list layout for category items. When switching from the grid or thumbnail layout to the list layout, and having a “category” item selected, the select button would be available and would glitch things when clicked.
Clear car configuration info when viewing a “category” item.
Updated the pop-up layout and styling.
Renamed event screen “Drive” button to “Passenger” when in multiplayer spectator mode.
Made transitioning to packages area page smoother:

Studio 397 выпустила как и обещала автомобиль Ferrari 488 GT3 EVO. Особое внимание было уделено улучшению аэродинамики. В частности, автомобиль получил новый бампер, вентиляционные отверстия на крыльях стали больше, форма дверей была доработана для лучшего распределения боковых потоков воздуха. В результате улучшений прижимная сила возросла, а вместе с тем повысилась устойчивость.

Для новинки использовалась та же колесная база, что и 488 GTE Evo: это позволило оптимизировать износ резины. Кроме того, инженерам удалось снизить вес автомобиля, в том числе благодаря новому гоночному креслу, разработанному Ferrari совместно с Sabelt и соответствующему требованиям FIA. Такое сиденье не только более жесткое и прочное, но и легче на 2,4 килограмма за счет использования новых ремней и пряжки. Мотор остался прежним: в движение гоночный 488 GT3 Evo приводит V8 твин-турбо объемом 3,9 литра мощностью 650 лошадиных сил.

Новый обвес и улучшения, которые получил 488 GT3 Evo 2020 года, доступны и в виде комплектов для модернизации существующих автомобилей. Также можно заказать пакет 24H/Endurance, который включает передний бампер с дополнительным блоком освещения, карбоновое сцепление, тормозные суппорты от GTE и стальные колесные гайки.

Данный автомобиль доступен в Steam за 5.86$

The v2.14 patch updates the aero in the draft, as the car was too loose instead of tight. Now the cars will be more predictable when in dirty air.

Also, the rear camber range now has a Max setting of 2.0 degrees. Keep in mind that some setup adjustments will be required.

Furthermore, Studio 397 has stated that a new stockcar rules plugin and instructions are in development.

Studio 397 выпустила новую сборку для своего гоночного симулятора rFactor 2. Обновление подготавливает клиент для предстоящего DLC Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, релиз которого запланирован на эту пятницу, 20 ноября, и содержит ряд важных изменений и улучшений, а также игра прекращает поддержки 32-битной версии.
CHANGELOG

Removed the 32 bits builds, we are now officially 64 bit only. To ease the transition, we have left some 32 bit utilities in their usual locations for this build only. Please migrate and report any issues you might have.
Note: there is a known issue that the ModMgr.exe inside Bin64 folder on SteamCMD dedicated server distributions may crash when toggling certain settings. Please use ModMgr.exe inside Bin32 folder for now.
Changed the way the new UI gets rendered, making it smooth even when the back-end is busy.
Fixed several memory leaks and a possible crash on changing graphics settings in-game.

Studio 397 выпустила DLC RCCO eX ZERO 2021 для гоночного симулятора rFactor 2. Это электрический гоночный автомобиль мощностью 1000 л.с., специально разработанный для киберспортивных гонок и чемпионата RCCO World eX Championship. «EX» означает «электрические экспериментальные» прототипы, а «ZERO» - нулевые выбросы.

Этот полноприводный гоночный автомобиль имеет отношение мощности к весу 1: 1 и развивает максимальную скорость более 380 км / ч в конфигурации с минимальным сопротивлением. Управлять им сложно даже профессиональным гонщикам.

Studio 397 выпустила DLC-пакет Endurance Bundle для rFactor 2, добавив в игру три машины с чемпионата IMSA Weathertech Sports Car Championship. Пак включает в себя прототип Cadillac DPi-VR DPi-Class, а также автомобиль Ligier JS P217 LMP2 и Corvette C8.R GTE.

Пакет Endurance DLC теперь продается за 9 евро в магазине Steam, три машины также доступны отдельно по цене 4,99 евро за машину.

Studio 397 выпустила второе обновление в этом году для rFactor 2, кторое включает улучшения световых переходов в динамическое время суток, настройки пользовательского интерфейса и различные другие изменения, подробно описанные в журнале обновлений ниже.
Update Notes:
Added back-end support for detecting the state of the Steam overlay so we can advise people to turn it on when trying to show them a shopping cart.
Fixed a possible deadlock.
Changed the lighting at dusk to gradually transition the fog color, preventing a sudden light change.
Improved the shutdown of a dedi so it no longer exits with a non-zero return code.
Fixed an issue where if we failed to load a custom skin we would not correctly fall back to the default skin.
Fixed an issue where blurred reflections did not show up.
Made the material editor port configurable in the scene viewer and changed it to 5396 by default so it won't conflict with the default port that rFactor 2 uses.
Allow up to 128 scene paths in the scene viewer.
Fixed an issue where upgrades did not correctly show in the showroom when selected.
Enforced loading the correct upgrades before we initialize physics online.
Added a few missing control options in the menus so they can be assigned again in the UI.
Significantly improved the way we render our clouds, resulting in much better looking skies.
Server will now kick a client using a custom team if file transfers are disabled because that client would be kicked when a race starts anyway.
Various auto exposure tweaks were done, also to the cockpit view.
Only pause the first session now if the setting is enabled on a dedicated server.
Fixed UI mouse click control.
Converted old FSAA values to new MSAA ones.
Corrected some inconsistencies between the viewer and rFactor 2.
Fixed some compound rendering issues in the showroom.
Improved the camera editor in dev mode by fixing some assets for it.

Studio 397 выпустила DLC RCCO eX ZERO 2021 для гоночного симулятора rFactor 2. Это электрический гоночный автомобиль мощностью 1000 л.с., специально разработанный для киберспортивных гонок и чемпионата RCCO World eX Championship. «EX» означает «электрические экспериментальные» прототипы, а «ZERO» - нулевые выбросы.

Этот полноприводный гоночный автомобиль имеет отношение мощности к весу 1: 1 и развивает максимальную скорость более 380 км / ч в конфигурации с минимальным сопротивлением. Управлять им сложно даже профессиональным гонщикам.

Studio 397 в последние время продолжают удивлять нас впечатляющими темпами развития и улучшениями своего гоночного симулятора rFactor 2, команда выпустила новую свежую сборку. Помимо нового обновления разработчики выпустили совершенно новую трассу с лазерным сканированием Diriyah E-Prix Circuit.
General
Fixed an issue enforcing physics upgrades
Fixed an issue where custom skins would be allowed even when the server does not allow them.
Fixed an issue where a custom skin would glow white after changing session if skin transfers are disabled. Also ensures other players see you with the default skin of your car.
Fixed an issue where a series does not initialize correctly on first time use. This would manifest in not being able to select upgrades when joining a competition.
Fixed an issue where FFB changes would not register until you go to the track for the second time.
Fixed a crash to desktop during game load when the current selected series was uninstalled, however the install file remains in packages folder.
Removed a setting that exited the game after leaving a server
Added extra logging during the loading of content for debugging purposes

HUD
Fixed an issue where the time remaining in a race session would not be shown.
Message centre now displays same name/value as show in the garage screen when changing vehicle settings

Graphics
Fixed an issue where secondary wet weather reflections would not show on roads. (The reflections from a damp road surface, rather than puddles)
Fixed some issues which could cause graphical glitches in the skies.
Fixed VR UI boundaries showing a faint black line when in game

UI
Added driver and car info displays to full screen replay; steering, throttle, brake, clutch, speed, rpm, gear and g-force traction circle. This information will also be shown live for a driver.
Fixed an issue where Wheel Loads were not shown in the UI
Fixed an issue where the UI would run at uncapped FPS
Fixed an issue where the refresh button in package management would not detect newly copied in files in the packages folder
Fixed an issue where real road settings weren’t reset in the session settings screen if the user changes track.
Fixed an issue where session settings would remain from a previously selected series
Now automatically update the favourite server list on race screen after adding or removing a favourite.
Fixed an issue where Tracks, Cars and other components would inherit the uninstall status of the last series.
Fixed wrong driver name displaying in replay when there was a driver swap
Fixed an issue where disqualified drivers could still go to track
Fixed an issue when joining a server the ui would display invalid cars

Factor 2 'opt-out' public build update notes
We’ve removed the Max 2012 plugins as they no longer work, and provided the last working Max 2017 plugins. We have no intention to upgrade them any longer as we can’t get these versions of Max any more to test. Furthermore, we urge the modding community to upgrade to current Max versions.
Fixed: Reflection mapper in Scene Viewer, so it renders from the same point as the user sees.
Fixed: Bind a mouse click to any input control.
Fixed: Issues with showroom performance.
Fixed: Missing error prompt when textures are missing from content.
Fixed: Issue with a white screen you get when you try to assign a control.
Fixed: Visible damage sometimes corrupting car bodies, to properly fix the hotfix that temporarily disabled the visible damage.

Changed how a dedicated server shuts down when asked so it no longer crashes with a non-zero return code.
Pausing sessions in a dedicated server will now only pause the first one.
Increased an internal timeout when talking to Steam to give it more time before we give up or retry.

Studio 397 выпустила обновление Endurance Bundle v1.17 для rFactor 2. Новая сборка устраняет ряд визуальных ошибок автомобиля, в том числе проблему, из-за которой игроки не могли видеть тени других автомобилей из кабины, проблему отражений рулевого колеса, проблемы связанные с дождем, весь список поправок можно увидеть в примечаниях к обновлению ниже.

Studio 397 обновила rFactor 2 и внесла множество изменений в симулятор, включая связанные сеансы, а также владельцы DLC Monza получили две схемы трассы, юниорская и вариант Grande.

· rFactor 2 Build Bumped to 1125


· Added MetallicNoise.dds to Vehicle Common Maps so that it does not need to be packed with each car
· Updated Flag Stations so they will not assign to the Pit Path.
· Updated parsing of Flag Station Instances (cornerworkers, safetyworkers, digitalflags) so all instances are parsed and do not require any specific naming order.
· Added auto grouping of flag stations to the same point on track. Note: It is now recommended to only place Safetyworkers next to Cornerworkers or Digital flags to ensure a flag is waved or shown correctly.
· Made the distance to group flag stations together configurable (GDB: FlagStationGroupDist=30)
· Updated Yellow Flag and Blue flag logic to work correctly with flag station grouping
· Made the distance before and after an incident at which a yellow flag is waved configurable (GDB: FlagStationIncidentMinDist=20, FlagStationIncidentMaxDist=250)
· Fixed digital flags all flashing checkered the second a car finishes the race. Instead they now follow the logic of other flags and only flash progressively around the track as cars finish.
· Enabled chat command “/callvote nextsession” on a dedicated server to advance to next session.
· Removed Hide Cursor default assignment to “delete” key from controller settings. Note this does not affect existing profiles.
· Fixed cars showing up with the team name missing when using a custom team in multiplayer via the new UI
· Synced min/max ranges for options in the backend (playerbasefile) with the new UI’s default (JNIOptions)
· Added ability to specify slot using steam id for some chat commands
· Save steam id when a driver disconnects from a session
· SteamId is saved when somebody disconnects, so it appears in the result xml

Graphics

· Reviewed & updated all Cloud Textures
· Improved Lighting Calculations on Clouds and Atmospherics
· Fine-tuned and optimized rain particles (50% less particles now)
· Improved ModDev options with ability to force a specific cloud texture as well as set cloud cover at any point.
· Ensured that cloud textures are never loaded ad hoc, which would previously cause some stuttering online or in replays.
· Fixes for various issues that were present when the cloud update was previously released.
· Fixed an issue when saving PNG screenshots via the built-in game function where alpha information seems to get saved around the glows and glares, for example around the sun.
· Fixed an issue where Sunglare at dawn or dusk on ultra-wide or triple screens would be undriveable.
· SSR – screen space reflection implementation for wet road reflection
· Reduced Sky Exposure and rebalanced auto exposure for these changes
· Fixed issues with Night Time under-exposing.

UI

· Load server lists (Internet, LAN, Favorites, Friends) asynchronously
· Added extra UI options for setting up steering wheel rotation settings (Rotation limit mode, max wheel angle mode, default max wheel angle).
· Ensured that appropriate settings are enabled/disabled with the right options.
· Readjusted Controller Calibrate layout so that all items fit without scroll bar
· Fixed Point to Point tracks wrongly closing loop
· Fixed unnecessary scroll bar on Display Options Screen
· Made it possible to sort the packages list by the installed column. Also made it possible to sort the multiplayer list by version while refactoring the table component config a bit.
· Fixed standings table alignment where long class names would cause problems.
· Replaced underscores in car class name with spaces and allow it to wrap to second if needed.
· Fixed bottom shadow sometimes being positioned wrongly in the lap history pop-up.
· Fixed an issue when losing a connection to the dedicated server that the network connection error dialogue would only show up when leaving a subsequent single player session.
· Added spectators to player list when in race monitor, and allow kicking/banning of them via the same process as kicking/banning an active player
· Updated event full-screen so only data that is needed for the elements being visible is fetched and updated.
· Fetch live standings in event screen with WebSocket instead of polling.
· Show total race time for race winner and the final gaps to winner for other drivers as they finish the race.

· Added disabling of “next session” button in single player admin controls when there is no next session.
· Made list layout the default layout on all pages that use it.
· Made changes to reduce time the light grey screen is shown, for example when leaving an event and returning to the main menu.
· Fixed the current selection (series, car, track) sometimes not loading in the main menu start and race screens.
· Made sky setting also affect the rain chance setting.
· Added showing raw range (min, max) for control axes on the options calibrate page.

Live stream overlay

· Class colors on text no longer working: No code changes; text color needs to specified with a “color” field in the custom overlay config.json along with the previous “backgroundColor” field.
· Added RPM, speed, gear and pedal inputs to the driver info overlay.
· Added error checking for endpoints failing when overlays folder does not exist.
· Added driver name options drop down to overlay control panel and updated overlay elements to use it.
· Added DRS active classes to battle box, extended battle box and tower overlay elements.
· Added DRS active text to battle box element.
· Fixed color swipe animation being positioned slightly wrong on some overlay elements.
· Fixed in-game panel toggling not always working.
· Fixed overlay not working at all if the configured overlay folder does not exist.
· Added prev/next buttons for season standings and in-race season standings elements.
· Added background color to control panel table rows when showing multiple car classes. The color is faded from the one defined in config.json for that class.

Modding


· Added a content error if a Cube Map is wrongly assigned.
· Added New AI Editor Methods for updating Cut Corridors including Finding, Normalizing, Setting to Corridor values, Setting to Collision Corridor values as well as setting if adjusting Corridors effects Cut Corridors.
· Added specific functions for Normalizing Corridors and Normalizing Collision Corridors.
· Fixed RealRoad errors loading Loch Drummond in ModDev
· IBL Road Shader: Made configurable the effects of the blue channel of a Road Detail Map. Now can enable/disable masking of the overlay function and the decal map.
· Added the ability to constrain a Camera to the Pitlane or the Main Track.
